Bayer has agreed to pay more than $10 billion to settle thousands of claims that their weedkiller Roundup causes cancer.
The largest seed and agrochemical maker announced earlier this week they have allocated as much as $9.6 billion to resolve current litigation around Roundup. This should cover 125,000 current claims that state the weedkiller caused non-Hodgkins lymphoma. Another $1.25 billion will be set aside for future claims.
