New Beer Garden Opening Near Independence Mall July 4th

The craft beer industry has a rich and deep history in the city of Philadelphia, dating back to the days of our forefathers, prior to the signing of the Declaration of Independence. So, the Philadelphia Personal Injury Lawyers with Lundy Law point out it comes as no surprise a new beer garden is slated to break ground at a site near the Independence Mall. To add to the irony, the opening date for the facility is slated for July 4th, the day of our nation’s independence from English rule.

The establishment is being opened by the mind behind Sampan on 13th Street, Michael Schulson. Landscape architecture firm Groundswell Design Group is designing the building. The food, drink, and atmosphere are said to reflect an American take on a traditional, classic beer garden. More can be found about the upcoming hot spot here.

While the growth of businesses in the Philadelphia area is broadly seen as a good thing, the team of attorneys with Lundy Law explain the close proximity of an establishment focused on serving alcohol to large volumes of people visiting the nearby mall could mean an increased risk of a Philadelphia Car Accident occurring at the hands of a drunk driver. That’s why we encourage anyone who intends to visit the new beer garden to plan ahead for a safe ride home by establishing a designated driver, or calling a cab, friend, or loved one to pick you up.
