February 13, 2008
A New Jersey auto accident left a woman seriously injured following a head-on collision with a tractor-trailer, according to the Asbury Park Press.
The tractor-trailer was carrying about 1,000 gallons of gasoline at the time of the car accident. The 22-year-old New Jersey auto accident victim was listed in fair condition at University Hospital several days later.
Police cited driver inattention on the part of the passenger vehicle driver as the cause of the accident. The victim may have been on her cell phone, and suffered a broken hip, broken leg, and internal injuries. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured.
