Study shows low-wage workers rarely file for workers’ compensation

According to a study on workers in New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago, only 8% of those injured on the job filed for workers’ compensation and missed days from work. The New York Times also reports that these workers were frequently paid less than minimum wage and often denied overtime pay.
