Nine firefighters injured in Center City auto accident

Two fire trucks were responding to a fire alarm on Thursday when they collided with each other and caused the Center City auto accident, according to CBS3 CW.

Engine 43 and Ladder 9 crashed into each other at the intersection of 8th and Lombard Streets and caused the Center City car accident.

An injured lieutenant was extracted from one of the trucks at the scene of the Pennsylvania auto accident. There were nine firefighters who suffered injuries as a result of the accident.

Seven of the nine injured firefighters were treated for minor injuries suffered in the Center City auto accident. Two firefighters remain at the hospital.

Parents filed Pennsylvania wrongful death suit

According to KTRK-TV, the parents of a teen who died filed a Pennsylvania wrongful death suit against doctors at Hamot Medical Center and a representative at the Center for Organ Recovery and Education.

An 18-year-old suffered a brain injury while snowboarding on a school-sponsored ski trip in March 2007 and later died at the Hamot Medical Center.

The parents stated their son was not officially declared brain dead when doctors began procedures to have some of his organs transplanted. The parents are seeking $5 million in damages in the Pennsylvania wrongful death suit.

Wrestler charged with fraud for Pennsylvania slip and fall accident

According to Courier Times, a 34-year-old wrestler filed an insurance claim for being injured in a Pennsylvania slip and fall accident.

The wrestler claimed that he slipped and fell as a result of coffee on the floor at a 7-Eleven store in August 2007.

The wrestler filed a claim stating he suffered injuries and was unable to work due to the Pennsylvania slip and fall accident.

Because evidences determined that the Pennsylvania slip and fall accident claim was false, the wrestler is now being charged for insurance fraud and attempted theft by deception.
