Heparin drug injuries linked to New Jersey plant

Chinese officials are touring a New Jersey plant as part of an investigation into possible heparin drug injuries, including death and adverse reactions, suffered by users of heparin, according to CourierPostOnline.com.

The New Jersey facility produces at least 35 million sodium injection vials of heparin per year. The FDA believes that the tainted heparin doses originated from a company in China.

Chinese officials are touring the facility in order to disprove the FDA’s allegations.

Heparin is usually used by people before they undergo certain types of surgery and by kidney patients who use the drug before undergoing dialysis.

Two men injured in New Jersey car accident

The Star-Ledger reported that a New Jersey auto accident left two men injured.

The New Jersey car accident occurred when a driver allegedly ran a red light and struck another man’s car. Both individuals involved in the auto accident were taken to the hospital.

One of the men involved in the New Jersey auto accident received neck and back injuries.

It took police officials a couple of hours to clear the New Jersey auto accident.

Pennsylvania drug causes concern for citizens

The Sentinel reported that Pennsylvania state officials have asked to add the Pennsylvania drug Saliva to a list of controlled substances.

The Pennsylvania drug is a hallucinogenic herb which creates an out-of-body awareness to its users. The drug is known to be easily accessible to children and could cause serious Pennsylvania drug injuries.

Even though the drug does not have long-term effects, individuals are concerned of the activities conducted by Pennsylvania drug users while under the influence such as driving, potentially causing Pennsylvania drug injuries.

New Jersey surgeon indicted for allegedly distributing prescription drugs

April 15, 2008

The Record reported that a surgeon was indicted by a grand jury for allegedly giving prescription pills to a former patient and then lying to police about engaging in the activity that could cause New Jersey drug injuries.

The physician is accused of illegally distributing valium and oxycodone to the former patient, potentially causing New Jersey drug injuries. The physician’s former patient is also accused of illegally possessing several prescription drugs.

The accusation has shocked several of the New Jersey physician’s patients.

The New Jersey surgeon plans to dispute the claims in the indictment.
